There’s a great town located within the 20737 zip code in Prince George's, Maryland called Riverdale. This quiet city is already established, has its own mayor and police force. In 1801, Riverdale was first developed when Henri Joseph Stier acquired 800 acres of land located between two tributaries on the Anacostia River. He started to construct his residence that year and named his holdings Riverdale. There were buildings constructed with architectural trends in 1890. Now, the town is a mix of many housing styles and business establishments that the residents are happy about.

Life in Riverdale may not be as popular compared to other big cities but, this small town has a lot of things to offer. Families moving into this enclave are thankful for the nearby schools for their children including Parkdale High School, William Wirt Middle School, Templeton Elementary School, and Dematha Catholic High School. Riverdale is also near other cities like Washington DC, which takes only a few minutes to get there to taste the urban life. Residents also like to eat at nearby restaurants like S&J Bar and Restaurant and Dumm’s Pizza.

As for the transportation in Riverdale, there are great metro stations in the area. A mile north, they can go to the University of Maryland at College Park where there is a metro station on the Green Line. There’s another metro station, George’s Plaza station, which is a mile away in the other direction. In the center of town, there’s also the Marc Station. For those who are driving, using Route 1 and 50 will lead them directly to Washington DC and the Beltway a few miles northeast. Riverdale is a great place to live in.
