Located in the Northeast quadrant of Washington, DC, Brookland is a neighborhood known for its generous and nice people living there with a 20017 zip code. For most of the 19th century, Brookland was actually farmland and it was owned by Middleton and Queen Families. The development of this neighborhood was really fast and it continued in the 1870s when the Western Branch of the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad opened.

Brookland has a lot of landmarks which include Fort Bunker Hill, Newton Theater, Brooks Mansion, Charles Richard Drew Memorial Bridge, Quincy House, and more. Most people, especially post-graduates, are moving into this quiet neighborhood because it has a lot of good restaurants and shops. Another great attraction in this neighborhood is the Franciscan Monastery. It features stunning architecture and gardens.
